ince the conclusion of the season, we have worked to collect all the Post Season Awards to release at a single time.  As we approach a week out from the State Finals, we have determined that we cannot wait any longer.  Tonight, we posted all the information that we have received and will update the missing data when it is provided.  We have received some requests to update individual personal pages and apologize to those waiting to see their records updated.

ith five games played tonight we are now down to 12 games, including 9 tomorrow (Wednesday).  Seeding was updated to tonight's games (HERE).  Chairman Onze is watching those teams that still have games on Thursday, with hopes to get out seeding as soon as possible.  We will publish the seedings here, as well as twitter, on Thursday night.

Tonight, there were 2 two-goal games with Baldwinsville defeating Penfield 9-7 and Newark-Midlakes defeating Livonia 7-5.  Additional scores included Mercy over Aquinas 18-8, Waterloo over Gananda 20-5 and Greece over Brockport 12-0.

# 421  Mercy Has Strong 2nd Half in Win over Pal-Mac

Mercy dominated the second half to defeat Pal-Mac 13-9.  The Monarchs scored 9 of the last 11 goals in the contest to come back from a three goal deficit.  The main difference in the second half was ball-time.  Mercy picked up the draw controls in the second half and denied the Red Raiders the ball. Leading in draw controls for Mercy was Karli Harnischfeger with 5.

oving into the next couple weeks, we will see a lot more than six games a night; however, tonight is the current champion with six contests.  The closest match-up was Baldwinsville's 6-5 overtime win over Brighton.  Churchville-Chili also won a single goal game with their 7-6 win over Greece Storm.  The remaining games were Eastridge over Gananda 10-3, Mercy over Mt. St. Mary 21-7, Mynderse-Romulus over Aquinas 16-3 and Pal-Mac over Livonia 16-2.

arcus Whitman led at the break 8-6, but Penn Yan turned it around in the second period forcing overtime where the Wildcats came out on top. It was the first win for Whitman against the Mustangs since 2012. Both Emily Thompson and Kelsey Tiffany had 5g-1a to lead Marcus Whitman. Additional stats, when updated will be HERE.

Seven teams played out of Section competition today.  At this time, there are still outstanding scores for three of those matchups.  The reported scores include, Mynderse-Romulus over Mt. Mercy 20-1, Rush-Henrietta over Oswego 19-1, Mercy over Amherst 17-6 and Aquinas over Sacred Heart Academy 21-5.  Today also saw the sixth annual "Cradle for a Cure" at Wayne.  The Girls and Boys Wayne program faced off against Pal-Mac.  For the Girls Pal-Mac defeated Wayne 20-2.  Remaining scores included, Hilton over Brockport 18-7 and the closest game of the night in Spencerport over Canandaigua 8-7.

he Rochester Democrat and Chronicle announced their 2017 All-Greater Rochester Lacrosse team on Friday. The list features the top sixteen players and a number of honorable mentions were led by HFL senior Caitlin Muir who was named Player of the Year. She finished the season with 64g-30a.  She will continue to play next season at Michigan.

t the conclusion of the Class C Tournament, the All Tournament Team was announced.  The Team consists of the top 13 players in the Class C Tournament this year.  There are 12 regular spots and an MVP spot.

# 292  Semi-Final Match-ups
The Semi-Final matches will be played over the next two days.  In all four tournaments that top 4 seeds advanced to the semi-finals. Class B and Class D will play on May 26th at Pittsford Sutherland and Eastridge. Class A and Class C will play on May 27th at HFL and Schroeder.

After the first night of games, both #1 seeds were defeated by the #4 seeds.  Penn Yan avenged their earlier loss in the regular season with a 13-6 win over top seeded Waterloo and Thomas avenged their overtime loss to Brighton in the regular season with an 8-6 win.  The #2 seeds (Canandaigua and Pal-Mac) both advanced.  The Braves will face the Titans and the Red Raiders will face the Mustangs on Tuesday May 30th.

# 179  Sherwood's Feeds Give Irondequoit the Win
rika Sherwood finished with four assists in Irondequoit's 7-6 win over Mercy tonight.  Sherwood was the driving force behind the come from behind win.  The Monarchs took an early 4-1 lead in the first half before the Eagles scored four unanswered goals (three assisted by Sherwood) to take the 5-4 lead less than 3 minutes into the second half.  The Eagles continued to play solid defense and not take too many chances and held off Mercy's late attempts to tie the game.

# 134  Garrett and Mashewske lead RH to Victory
lthough the game was close for the first 20 minutes, R-H scored four unanswered to lead 5-2 over Mercy and never looked back.  The Royal Comets also added the final five goals.  Mercy scored the opening goal with Sami Carey scoring with a drive around behind the cage.  0:36 later, RH tied the game with a free position goal from Emily Schillinger.  The Monarchs kept the game close with another goal less than one minute later.  Katie Sergeant was patient and drove to the cage and found the back of the net.

# 36  Mercy and Schroeder Win
With four out of Section games and one intra-section match, the games are coming faster in Section Five.  Mercy kept their 13 game winning streak alive against Livonia with a 7-3 win over the Bulldogs.  Schroeder defeated Lancaster 11-5 for the first time since 2012.  Canandaigua lost another one goal game against an out of Section competitor with an 8-7 loss to Bethlehem.

# 33  Pollack Leads Red Raiders to Victory
Fairport junior Britteny Pollack led in scoring with 4g-3a in Fairport's 19-5 win over Mercy.  The Red Raiders had 12 different players make their offensive scorebook for the season opener.  Junior midfielder Maddie Howe and senior midfielder Megan Konieczny finished with 3g-1a each.  She was also demonstrative at the draw; she finished with six draw controls for Fairport.  Mercy seventh graded Sami Carey finished with a hand in each of the five Monarch goals (3g-2a).
