Monday Night Matchups

Seven games were scheduled to be played during a cold start to April.  Spencerport fought back with the last two goals in their 7-6 win over Penfield in the closest matchup of the night.  Gananda defeated Livonia 9-6 and Mynderse-Romulus defeated Churchville-Chili 11-9.  Remaining scored included Hilton over Eastridge 14-5, Greece Storm over Brockport 13-3, Schroeder over Waterloo 14-2 and R-H over HFL 16-4. Only One Game on Tuesday

Aquinas scored ten goals in the opening half on their way to a 15-7 win over WQayne.  The Little Irish were led in scoring by Sienna Hinchcliffe (6g-2a).  Mickey Knapp added another 4g.  For Wayne, Paige Knowles led iwth 3g-1a. Full Story

Mercy Has Strong 2nd Half in Win over Pal-Mac

Mercy dominated the second half to defeat Pal-Mac 13-9.  The Monarchs scored 9 of the last 11 goals in the contest to come back from a three goal deficit.  The main difference in the second half was ball-time.  Mercy picked up the draw controls in the second half and denied the Red Raiders the ball. Leading in draw controls for Mercy was Karli Harnischfeger with 5. Full Story

Big Day of Games on Wednesday

There were nine games tonight in Section Five.  The closest matchup was Schroeder's 12-10 win over Hilton.  Mynderse-Romulus defeated Newark-Midlakes by 3 (9-6) and Mercy defeated Pal-Mac by 4 (13-9).  The remaining scores were Brighton over Victor 13-5, Irondequoit over Churchville-Chili 16-3, Greece Storm over Eastridge 15-3, Gananda over Jordan-Elbridge 14-5, Thomas over Brockport 12- and Penfield over HFL 13-3. Wayne Defeats Marcus Whitman

With Brighton postponing their game versus Liverpool, there were nine games played tonight in Section Five.  The closest match-up was Pittsford's double overtime win vs. Canandaigua 7-6 and Brockport's win over Gates-Chili 10-8.  Other scores included, Churchville-Chili over Eastridge 16-4, Mercy over Magnificat 16-7, Pal-Mac over Gananda 15-1, Waterloo over Geneva 15-2, Fairport over Thomas 14-5, Victor over HFL 16-8 and Spencerport over Schroeder 16-5. There were seven games played tonight in Section Five.  Five of the seven were against out of town opponets.  The closest matchup was Penn Yan over Aquinas 9-8.  Penfield defeated South Jefferson 10-7 and Waterloo defeated Whitesboro 12-9.  The remaining scores were Pal-Mac over Hamburg 22-8, Newark-Midlakes over Sweet Home 14-4, Marcus Whitman over Owego 7-3 and Schroeder over Greece Storm 15-5. There were 34 matches played in this week of games, with the season starting to pick up the pace.  The closest match was Pittsford's double overtime win vs. Canandaigua (7-6).  With two weeks under our belt, every team has played at least one game.  There are five teams remaining that have won all their games: Fairport (1-0), Mynderse-Romulus (3-0), Penn Yan (1-0), Pittsford (1-0) and Spencerport (3-0).  There are even more games expected in the coming week. Multiple One Sides Games on Monday Night

After Mynderse-Romulus vs. Marcus Whitman got postponed, there was only a single game in Section Five tonight.  Newark-Midlakes defeated Gananda 8-7. Full Story

Seven Games on Friday

There were seven games scheduled tonight with two concluding in overtime.  R-H defeated Canandaigua (12-11) in the 2nd overtime period and Schroeder defeated HFL (11-10) in their second overtime period.  The score for Thomas vs. Hilton is still pending.  Remaining scores included Eastridge over Gates Chili 17-3, Fairport over Churchville-Chili 19-2 and Pittsford over Victor 16-4.  Spencerport defeated Notre Dame Academy (MA) 11-10. Four games were scheduled today.  Spencerport continued their out of town play with another win, this time over Wellesley HS (MA) 18-6.  Fairport defeated Corning 15-14 in overtime, West Genesee defeated Victor 18-12 and Baldwinsville defeated Irondequoit 14-3.   Full Story

End of Week #3

There were 38 matches played in this week of games, as we enter into break week.  There are limited games scheduled next week with only 17 on the books. There were three overtime matches this week with RH defeating Canandaigua 12-11, Schroeder defeating HFL 11-10 and Fairport defeating Corning 15-14.  Only two teams remain undefeated with Mynderse-Romulus at 4-0 and Spencerport at 7-0. Tuesday of Break Week

There were five more games tonight in the 2nd day of break week.  Mercy's 14-13 overtime win vs. Victor was the closest match-up of the night.  Also, Pittsford defeated HFL 9-8 and Eastridge defeated Wayne 7-6 in a single goal games.  Additional scores were Suffern over Irondequoit 11-8 and Fairport over Hilton 16-10. There were five scheduled games tonight.  Canandaigua defeated Spencerport 8-6 in the closest match-up.  Hilton defeated Wayne 17-1 and in out of town matchups, Pittsford defeated Vestal 17-6, Mercy defeated Lancaster 17-14 and Rush-Henrietta defeated West Genesee 14-9. Full Story

Break week was light in games with only 15 games being played. Mercy defeated Victor 14-13 in the only overtime game of the week.  Spencerport fell this week to Canandaigua 8-6, leaving Mynderse-Romulus as the only undefeated team.  The Blue Devils did not play this week and remain at 4-0 (they have games scheduled for this Monday, Wednesday and Friday).  There are a total of 44 games scheduled this week.
