# 757  Waterloo Holds Off Lakers in Tight Contest
UPDATED] In a closely fought Finger Lakes matchup, Waterloo edged Livonia-Avon-Geneseo 13-12 on Monday evening. Senior midfielder Maci Mueller scored the winning goal and led Waterloo with five goals and five assists, while junior midfielder Bailey Rossignol added four goals and an assist. Sophomore goalie Peyton Lyons was solid in net for the Tigers, registering 13 saves and a 52% save rate. Waterloo remains undefeated with a 3-0 record.

For Livonia-Avon-Geneseo, attackers Lily Rowe (4g/2a) and Maddie Whitford (4g/1a) spearheaded the offense. Junior attacker Kearstin Skelly scored her first varsity goal during the game. Goalie Annabelle Reynolds made seven saves. Livonia-Avon-Geneseo is now 1-2 this season.

The win is Waterloo's first over Livonia-Avon-Geneseo in the teams' fledgling series. On Friday, the Tigers visit Mercy, while the Lakers host Salamanca (section VI).

as Newark-Midlakes rolled past Gananda-Marion, 17-5, for its first win of the season. Penn Yan fell just short in a tense 10-9 battle against West Genesee. Rush-Henrietta extended its 10-game winning streak against Hilton with a decisive 17-5 victory. Geneva remained unbeaten after an 11-4 win over Marcus Whitman, and Wayne defeated Brockport 17-6. Lancaster (Section VI) beat Aquinas-WOIS 16-6. 

HILTON-5 at RUSH-HENRIETTA-17 - Rush-Henrietta defeated Hilton 17-5, extending their winning streak against the Cadets to 10. Rush-Henrietta`s standout performances came from Riley Brown (4g/1a), Kate DeWald (4g/2a), and Danielle Garrett (2g/5a). Goalie Taylor Potwin made seven saves for the Royal Comets. GENEVA-11 at MARCUS WHITMAN-4 - Geneva defeated Marcus Whitman 11-4 in a Finger Lakes matchup. Makenna Harris led Geneva with six goals and an assist.
