# 706  2024 All League Awards

[UPDATED] The annual All-League Awards have been posted and are available on the player pages as well as the awards page.

The Finger Lakes League awarded first team awards to Reagan Diehl, Chelsea Korzeniewski, Anna Priebe, Jenna Santelli, Taryn Goodness, Sidney Clickner, Stella Del Papa, Lainie Forde, Colleen Ginsberg, Myah Herron, Madelyn Hillman, Teagan Hudak, Maci Mueller, Bailey Rossignol, Maddie Whitford, and Amelia Reese.

The Attack Player of the Year was Chelseas Korzaneski from Mynderse-Romulus. The Defender Player of the Year was Taryn Goodness from Pal-Mac. The Midfield Player of the Year was Maci Muller from Waterloo who was also named Finger Lakes Player of the Year. The Head Coach of the Year was E.J. Burse (Pal-Mac).

The USA Lacrosse All-Americans were Molly Guzik (Spencerport), Hanna Davis (Canandaigua), Devin Livingston (Victor), Ella Peers (Fairport) and  Reagan Diehl (Pal-Mac. The All-Academics were Lucy Lederman (Brighton), Angelia Oechsle (Rush-Henrietta), Katie Mallaber (Fairport), and Allie Chimenti ((Wayne).

Monroe County The Monroe County League first team D-1 awards to Katie Mallaber, Madison Van Gorder, Lilly Mattucci, Jenna Capozzi, Peyton Rothfuss, Cecily Kaul, Dani Mooney, Angelia Oechsle, Catrina Rowe, Danielle Garrett, Kate Dewald, Abby Murphy, Allie Pisano, Julia Bruno, Maia Pronti, Ryann Savage, Lucy Ruller, and Mia Estelle.

The D-1 Defensive Player of The Year was Devin Livingston (Victor). The D-1 Offensive Player of The Year was Ella Peers (Fairport) and the Coach of the Year was Dave York (Penfield).

The Monroe County League awarded first team D-2 awards to Zoe Baase, Caroline Lyttle, Hanna Davis, Leah Sheridan, Nola Weaver, Campbell Hewlett, Paige Kidd, Shaye Angelo, Ali Baumgartner, Ella Brennan, Emma Francis, Alyssa Nichols, Brooke Endres, and Molly Meyer.

The D-2 Defensive Player of The Year was Rose Heagney (Canandaigua). The D-2 Offensive Player of The Year was Molly Guzik (Spencerport) and the Coach of the Year was Kevin O`Connell (HFL) who was also selected as the Monroe County Coach of the Year.

The Independent teams also selected awards in 2024. First teams awards went to Mia Lusardi, Krista Harnischfeger, Elinor Meyer, Marina Reddington, Emma Kravetz, Savannah Hinchcliffe, Brynn Henry, Kessa Sangasy, Ada Krupa, Jill Willis, Erica Savage, and Mara Misiurewicz. The Independent Player of the Year was Mia Quagrello (Mercy).

# 701  Victor and Mercy Win Championships
MERCY-10 at HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-9 - The Cougars took the 4-3 lead at the end of the first quarter and then led 8-5 at the half. The second half belonged to the Monarchs who outscored HFL 4-1 in the third, tying the game at 9-9 after three quarters. Mercy scored the lone goal in the fourth giving them the Championship. Leading the scoring for Mercy (9-9) were sophomore Mia Quagrello (4g), junior Krista Harnischfeger (2g-1a), and sophomore attacker Sydney Cook (2g). Leading the scoring for Honeoye Falls-Lima (9-10) were senior Camryn Trybuskiewicz (1g-4a), sophomore Shaye Angelo (4g), and junior Rylee Bennett (1g-1a). Canandaigua vs VictorVICTOR-15 at CANANDAIGUA-10 - Canandaigua took a 3-2 lead after the first quarter, but the Blue Devils responded with seven goals in the second quarter and led at the half 9-5. When they outscored the Gray Wolves 5-2 in the third it was too much for Canandaigua despite scoring three goals in the last stanza. Scoring for Canandaigua (16-3) were senior Hanna Davis (3g-1a), sophomore Lola Schorr (3g-1a), senior Caroline Lyttle (2g-1a), sophomore Leah Sheridan (2g-1a), and junior Samantha Lupton (1a).  There was no report from Victor (16-3) at post-time. WAYNE-3 at MERCY-18 - Twelve different players scored goals for Mercy (8-9) including Lydia Malvaso (2g-3a), Mia Quagrello (2g-2a), and Evelyn McAuliffe (3g). Wayne vs MercyEASTRIDGE/BK-8 at HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-20 -  Eight different players scored goals for Honeoye Falls-Lima (9-9) including sophomore attacker Shaye Angelo (4g-2a), senior attacker Camryn Trybuskiewicz (3g-3a), junior midfielder Rylee Bennett (5g), and sophomore defender Anna DeClerck (2g). Cougar senior goalie Lily Brady recorded 5s/4ga = 56% (36 mins). Wayne vs MercyBRIGHTON-6 at VICTOR-7 -  The closely matched teams tied numerous times, scoring two goals each in the first and second quarters. Victor took a one goal lead after three quarters but Brighton tied it up again in the last stanza. Libby Boland scored her lone goal with fifty-three second left in regulation to send the Blue Devils to the Championship game against Canandaigua on Wednesday. Leading the scoring for Victor (15-3) were Devin Livingston (3g), Maia Pronti (1a), Allie Pisano (1a), Morgan Livingston (1g), Camryn Adrid (1g), and Libby Boland (1g). In the goal for Victor was senior Maggie Allen with 6s/4ga = 60% (48 mins). Wayne vs MercySPENCERPORT-6 at CANANDAIGUA-7 - In the other semifinal Class B game, top seeded Canandaigua edged out Spencerport (#4) by a one goal margin. Scoring for the Rangers were Molly Guzik (2g), Brooke Endres (3g), and Aria Pittman (1g). Guzik ends her scholastic career with 166g-124a in five years on the Varsity. She will move on to Syracuse University in the fall.   There was no report from Canandaigua (16-2) at post-time but the Grey Wolves will play Victor for the Class B Championship on Wednesday.      [ BOX SCORE

strong>DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - There were six games played on the last day of the regular season. Penn Yan won a close one with Honeoye Falls-Lima. Other winners were Brighton, Canandaigua, Waterloo, Eastridge/BK and Livonia-Avon.

BRIGHTON-17 at MERCY-9 - Brighton Junior goalie Lauren Russell reached her 200th save with her 7 saves. Leading the scoring for Brighton (8-8) were junior midfielder Ireland Mistretta (6g-1a), senior attacker Lucy Lederman (5g), and junior attacker Alexandra Madison (1g-2a).  There was no report from Mercy (7-9) at post-time.       [ BOX SCORE

HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-8 at PENN YAN-10 - The Mustangs extended their winning streak to five wins (13-3) in this close game at Penn Yan. Junior attacker Corinne Barden (Penn Yan) reached her 100th career goal and Junior midfielder Maihue Miranda-Wiltberger reached her 100th career draw controls. Scoring for Penn Yan (13-3) were Bailey Cooper (5g), Madison Pierce (3a), Corinne Barden (2g), and Ruby Berry (1g). THOMAS-8 at HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-9 - This was a close game with the Cougars taking the first quarter lead into the 4-2 half. Thomas got one goal closer in the third and the two teams each scored three in the last quarter. Senior goalie Lily Brady (9s/7ga = 56% - 48 mins) reached her 400th career save in the game and was supported in the offense by Shaye Angelo (4g-1a), Paige Kidd (4g), and 8th grade midfielder Harper Jacob (1g-1a). BROCKPORT-2 at SPENCERPORT-17 -  For the Rangers, it was their tenth consecutive win over the Blue Devils dating back to 2015.  Molly Guzik (5g/1a), Brooke Endres (4g), Sophia Marron (3g), and Alyssa Nichols (2g/1a) led the scoring for Spencerport (9-6).  There were no statistics reported from Brockport (4-9) at post time.  Both teams resume play at home Friday, with Spencerport facing Fairport and Brockport taking on Hilton.        [ BOX SCORE

NEWARK-MIDLAKES-12 at WAYNE-17 - In this battle of Eagles, the non-screaming variety prevailed.  The Eagles of Wayne (6-7) were led by Isabella Veltre (5g/1a), Madelyn Hillman (4g/2a), and Julia DiLeo (4g); Anabelle Ruffell collected eight draw controls, and Mimi Ugalde had 11 saves.  For the Screaming Eagles of Newark-Midlakes (4-9), Stella Del Papa had 13 draw controls—including the 200th of her varsity career—to go with two goals and three assists, and Zoey Overslaugh added five goals and an assist.  Both teams have home contests on Friday, with Wayne meeting Gates Chili and Newark-Midlakes facing off against Eastridge/Bishop Kearney.         [ BOX SCORE

PAL-MAC-9 at HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-17 - With the win, HF-L remains undefeated in its last nine games against Pal-Mac dating back to 2009.  Leading the scoring for HF-L were Shaye Angelo (3g/5a), Camryn Trybuskiewicz (2g/4a), and eighth-grader Harper Jacob (3g/2a).  Two of the Cougars achieved career milestones in the game—Paige Kidd with her 200th draw control, and Shaye Angelo with her 100th draw control.  For Pal-Mac (7-4), eighth-grader Brinn Castrechini had three goals, and Jenna Santelli and Teagan Hudak had two goals apiece.  Both teams resume play on the road next week, with HF-L taking on Churchville-Chili Wednesday and Pal-Mac facing Newark-Midlakes Monday.         [ BOX SCORE
