# 474  Post Season Awards
ince the conclusion of the season, we have worked to collect all the Post Season Awards to release at a single time.  As we approach a week out from the State Finals, we have determined that we cannot wait any longer.  Tonight, we posted all the information that we have received and will update the missing data when it is provided.  We have received some requests to update individual personal pages and apologize to those waiting to see their records updated.

# 465  Penultimate Night of the Regular Season

On the second to last night of the season, all nine scheduled games were played.  There are now only 3 games left in the season.  Seeding is nearly completed and present (HERE).  Much of the seeding appears stable, but we are watching a few key matchups that can make changes in the final seedings.  We will publish them as soon as possible tomorrow night.

Tonight's closest game was Wayne 9-8 over Gananda.  Additional scores included Greece over Gates Chili 19-0, Irondequoit over Thomas 8-4, Hilton over HFL 11-8, Spencerport over Fairport 13-5, Mynderse-Romulus over Geneva 15-8, Waterloo over Marcus Whitman 11-5, Pal-Mac over Penn Yan 18-4 and Pittsford over Brighton 10-7.

here were nine games tonight with two games going into overtime.  Irondequoit defeated Fairport 7-6 and Wayne defeated Aquinas 12-11.  Remaining scores included Greece over Geneva 13-3, HFL over Penn Yan 13-4, Mynderse-Romulus over Waterloo 12-7, Canandaigua over South Jefferson 7-6 and Newark-Midlakes over Livonia 14-7.

here were four games tonight with the closest coming in Mynderse-Romulus defeating Waterloo 7-6 in overtime.  The remaining scores were Newark-Midlakes over Wayne 13-11, Aquinas over Gananda 14-8 and Pal-Mac over Geneva 19-2.

# 427  Multiple One Sides Games on Monday Night

There were 11 games scheduled for tonight in Section Five; we are still pending scores for Eastridge vs. Thomas and Mercy vs. Clarence.  Hopefully, those will be updated soon.  Of the nine remaining games, half were decided by over 10 points.  There were still close match-ups with Geneva defeating Wayne 9-8 and Waterloo defeating Aquinas 8-7.  The remaining scores were Marcus Whitman over Gananda 17-6, Churchville-Chili over Brockport 15-4, Spencerport over Victor 18-5, Mynderse-Romulus over Livonia 18-8, Hilton over Penn Yan 13-6, Brighton over Schroeder 16-7 and Irondequoit over Gates Chili 21-2.

inger Lakes end of season awards come in with 25 First and 24 Second Team All County Players.  There are also 20 Honorable Mention Players.  In addition, there were 2 All Americans and 2 Academic All Americans.  As well as Defense Player of the Year, a Midfield Player of the Year and an Attack Player of the Year.

# 291  Wayne Wins First Sectional Game in Program History
ayne scored four of the last five goals to pull away and defeat Newark 9-4.  This was the first Sectional win in program history for the Eagles.  The game was close for most of the first half, before the Eagles began to pull away.  As the second half continued, Newark could not close the gap and Wayne slowly expanded their lead.

our more games were played tonight.  The closest of which was Wayne over Gananda 4-3.  Additionally, Fairport defeated Churchville-Chili 10-6, Livonia defeated Ath/Ody 17-7 and R-H defeated Aquinas 19-4.

# 259  Waterloo Scores Seven Straight to Start Second Half
ayne hosted their fifth annual “Cradle for a Cure” event today. Waterloo defeated the Eagles 17-9.  The “Cradle for a Cure” event began five years ago as a fundraising/awareness event after a local lacrosse player received a cancer diagnosis.  Every year since, Wayne has hosted a multigame event with boys and girls lax with the hope of donating to both local charities and a local family in need of assistance.  After this game, the Boys hosted Gananda and defeated the Panthers 23-5 (HERE).

# 230  Knowles Scores Game Winner for Wayne
aige Knowles scored the game winning goal for Wayne in their 7-6 win over Newark.  Both team led for portions of the game before Knowles scored with 10:10 left in the second half.

# 117  Three out of Four Games Close

Three of the four games tonight were within 3 goals: Irondequoit defeated Brighton 8-5, HFL defeated CNS 9-6 and Churchville-Chili defeated Waterloo 8-5.  The fourth game of the night saw Wayne defeating East Rochester 12-5.

# 100  Ten Different Red Raiders Score
al-Mac defeated Wayne 14-6 with ten different Red Raiders scoring at least one goal and twelve making the offensive scorebook.  Leading the charge was junior attackman Anna Leva with 3g-2a.  Leva lead Pal-Mac is both assists and points with 19g-31a (Pal-Mac Season Totals).  The Eagles were led by junior midfielder Mary Panepento with 3g-1a.  In addition to their offensive leader, goalie Rachel Haywood finished the game with 9 saves and played a strong game between the pipes at 50% over 44 minutes.

# 96  Mynderse Pulls Ahead in Second Half
In a game that was back and forth for its entirety, Mynderse scored five of the last six goals to defeat Wayne 8-6.  By the end of the game the lead had changed four times.  Sarah Shaffer finished with 3 goals for the Blue Devils.

# 78  James Scores in Overtime for Marcus Whitman

Cameron James scored her third goal of the night with 1:18 remaining in the first overtime period to give Marcus Whitman the 9-8 win over Wayne.  This is the second time the Eagles have lost in overtime this season.  The game was back and forth with three lead changes.  The Wildcats fought back from a three goal deficit in the second half to take the lead and force Wayne to send the game into overtime.

oday saw multiple close games with Mercy defeating Brockport 5-3, Waterloo defeating Geneva 7-5 and Livonia defeating Wayne 12-9.  There were also a number of one sided contests with Penn Yan defeating Gananda 11-3, Marcus Whitman defeating Newark 13-1 and Spencerport defeated Gates-Chili 19-3.  Pal-Mac also defeated Aquinas 15-9.
