# 700  Penn Yan and Fairport Win Sectionals
PITTSFORD-4 at FAIRPORT-9 - The defending class A champions scored six consecutive goals spanning the first and second quarters and were never seriously challenged.  Reese Fuenfstueck, Camryn DuBose, and Meghan Arserio each had two goals for Fairport (12-6), tournament MVP Ella Peers (1g/2a) had a game-high six draw controls, and Marisa Test made six saves.  The Red Raiders next play the winner of the section VI class A final between Lancaster and Orchard Park at 11 am on Saturday at FLCC.  Morgan Wilson scored her first varsity goal for Pittsford, which finishes its season with a record of 9-10.   There was no report from Pittsford at post-time.      [ BOX SCORE

PAL-MAC-8 at PENN YAN-11 - In a game played through a steady rain, the Mustangs came away with their second consecutive class D title and their eighth win in a row.  Tournament MVP Taylor Mullins had two goals to go with 13 draw controls.  Bailey Cooper (3g/2a) and Maihue Miranda-Wiltberger (4g) led the scoring for Penn Yan (16-3).  Teagan Hudak, eighth-grader Brinn Castrechini, and Jenna Santelli had two goals apiece for Pal-Mac (14-5); Santelli’s first goal of the game was the 100th of her varsity career.  The Mustangs advance to play the winner of the section VI class D final between Salamanca and Gowanda at 5 pm on Saturday at FLCC.     [ BOX SCORE

strong>DAY IN REVIEW: THURSDAY - There were six games played on the last day of the regular season. Penn Yan won a close one with Honeoye Falls-Lima. Other winners were Brighton, Canandaigua, Waterloo, Eastridge/BK and Livonia-Avon.

HONEOYE FALLS-LIMA-8 at PENN YAN-10 - The Mustangs extended their winning streak to five wins (13-3) in this close game at Penn Yan. Junior attacker Corinne Barden (Penn Yan) reached her 100th career goal and Junior midfielder Maihue Miranda-Wiltberger reached her 100th career draw controls. Scoring for Penn Yan (13-3) were Bailey Cooper (5g), Madison Pierce (3a), Corinne Barden (2g), and Ruby Berry (1g). # 692  Brighton, Churchville-Chili and Penn Yan Win
CANANDAIGUA-6 at BRIGHTON-9 - For the Bruins, who continue to battle following a slow start to their season, it was their third victory in their last four games.  Riley Lawrence had three goals and Ella Brunette added two more to pace the attack for Brighton (7-8).  There were no statistics reported from Canandaigua (13-2) at post time.   Each team concludes its regular season on Thursday, with the Bruins visiting Mercy and the Gray Wolves traveling to Churchville-Chili to take on the Saints.         [ BOX SCORE
